Terms of use

Please carefully read the Terms of Use (“Agreement”) before you proceed to download, install, use all or any parts of the “English-Vietnamese Dictionary” application (“Application”) (including but not limited to software, files, and related documents) or use any services provided by PPCLINK to connect to the Application. You agree to and are bound by the provisions and conditions of this Agreement when performing the operations herein. In case you do not agree to any of our terms of use (this version and any updated versions), please do not download, install, use the Application, or uninstall the Application from your mobile device.

1. Update

This Agreement may be updated regularly by the English-Vietnamese Dictionary, and the updated version will be announced on the website https://ppclink.com/apps/terms-of-use

The updated version will replace the provisions and conditions of the original agreement. You can access the Application or visit the website here to view the detailed content of the updated version.

2. Introduction to the Application

The English-Vietnamese Dictionary is the perfect dictionary application with a modern interface, easy-to-use, high-quality content, advanced search functionality, and native language pronunciation for English and Vietnamese. Various types of dictionaries are integrated with over 700,000 updated words, ideal for those who need a comprehensive dictionary for studying, working, traveling, or using at home. Additionally, our application offers a variety of new, carefully selected, and curated content such as vocabulary learning games based on lessons like TOEIC, IELTS, TOEFL; English exam preparation, daily communication phrases on various topics; English listening practice, … allowing you to enhance your vocabulary and make language learning easier than ever.

3. Ownership Rights of the Application

This application is developed by PPCLINK and owned by the English-Vietnamese Dictionary. All intellectual property rights related to the Application (including but not limited to source code, images, data, information, content contained within the Application; modifications, additions, updates to the Application) and related instructional materials (if any) shall be solely owned by the English-Vietnamese Dictionary, and no individual or organization is permitted to copy, reproduce, distribute, or otherwise infringe upon the rights of the owner without the written consent and permission of the English-Vietnamese Dictionary.

4. Account

To use the Application, you do not need to create an online account. However, to register for advanced services or access certain features, you may need to create an account as required by us. You agree that the use of the account must comply with the regulations of the English-Vietnamese Dictionary, and all information you provide to us is true, accurate, and complete at the time requested. All your rights and obligations will be based on the account information you have registered, so if there is any inaccurate information, we will not be responsible in case that information affects or limits your rights.

5. Utilization of application resources

You have the right to use the Application and other services that we provide, however, such usage shall not include the following actions without the written consent of the English-Vietnamese Dictionary.

• Copying, modifying, reproducing, creating derivative works or derivative versions based on this Application;
• Selling, transferring, sublicensing, disclosing, or otherwise transferring or conveying any part or all of the Application to any third party;
• Using the Application to provide services to any third party (organization, individual);
• Moving, deleting, altering any legitimate notices or indications of the Application (including but not limited to copyright statements);
• Redesigning, translating, disassembling, modifying, reversing the design of the Application or the content of the Application;
• Altering or canceling the original status of the Application;
• Using the Application to perform any actions harmful to the network security system of the English-Vietnamese Dictionary, including but not limited to using data or accessing unauthorized system servers or accounts; accessing network systems to delete, modify, and add information; distributing malicious programs, viruses, or performing any other actions to harm or destroy network systems;
• Logging in and using the Application with third-party compatible software or systems not developed, authorized, or approved by the English-Vietnamese Dictionary;
• Using, selling, lending, copying, modifying, connecting to, translating, publishing, disclosing any information related to the Application, building a mirror website to publish this information, or to develop derivative products, works, or services;
• Using the Application to upload, transfer, transmit, or store information that violates laws, violates the national cultural traditions;
• Using the Application to use, post, transfer, transmit, or store any content that violates the intellectual property rights, business secrets, or legal rights of any third party;
• Using the Application or other services provided by the English-Vietnamese Dictionary in any form of violation of any law, for any unlawful purpose;
• Other forms of violation.

6. Handling Violations

In case you violate any provisions of this Agreement, the English-Vietnamese Dictionary reserves the right to immediately lock your account and/or remove all violating information, content, and depending on the nature and extent of the violation, you will be held responsible before the competent authority, the English-Vietnamese Dictionary, and third parties for any damages caused by or arising from your violation.

7. Access Rights and Information Collection

(a) When using the Application, you acknowledge that we have the right to use the following system APIs to access data on your phone: (1) Read and write to the phone’s contacts, (2) Obtain your current location with your consent, (3) Write data of the Application to the memory card, (4) Access the Internet from your device. All these accesses are performed by us after obtaining your consent, so you commit and acknowledge that, when you have granted us permission, you will not have any complaints against the English-Vietnamese Dictionary regarding this access.

(b) Along with access rights, we will collect the following information from you:

• Personal information: including information you provide to us to verify your account such as name, phone number, identity card number, email address;
• General information: such as information about the configuration of your phone, the version information of the English-Vietnamese Dictionary that you are using for your phone;
• Your location information: data about your geographical location will be stored on the server to help you use the search function of the Application;
• Phone contacts: we will store your phone contacts on the server to best support you in using the Application and avoid the risk of data loss. We commit to respect and not use your phone contacts for any purpose without your consent;
• We do not use any measures to track the content of messages, exchanges, or other forms to monitor users when using this Application.

(c) Your content includes your contact information with others, your posts or responses sent to the English-Vietnamese Dictionary, your username, your images, documents, audio files, digital products, videos, and your files. To the extent necessary to provide software and services to you and others, to protect you and the services, as well as to improve the products and services of the English-Vietnamese Dictionary, you allow PPCLNK to use your content completely free of charge on the software and services of the English-Vietnamese Dictionary worldwide; including the rights to copy, store, move, reformat, display, edit, create derivative works, and distribute through media tools.

8. Information Security Commitment

The English-Vietnamese Dictionary uses secure transmission methods such as HTTPS and encryption to transmit and store your personal data and communications. We commit to keeping confidential all information you provide to the English-Vietnamese Dictionary or collected from you and will not disclose it to any third party unless requested by the competent State authority.

9. Subscription and Payment Package

9.1. Subscription Package

We may offer you the opportunity to purchase a subscription package providing access to certain content, products, or services for a specified period of time. The subscription package will continue indefinitely. We will regularly automatically charge maintenance fees for you until you cancel. We will explain the maintenance fees, payment frequency, and cancellation process before you make a purchase.

9.2. Some content, products, or services included in the subscription package may change over time as we introduce new features, develop existing products, and sometimes remove features that are not planned. Features and content in the Application may vary by country, language, relevant store, version, or device. By accessing the English-Vietnamese Dictionary, you agree that your purchase of the subscription package does not depend on the provision of any future features or functionality, nor does it depend on any public statements, whether verbal or written, or comments from the English-Vietnamese Dictionary regarding that functionality or feature.

9.3. The English-Vietnamese Dictionary application is provided through third-party platform operators such as Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store. Therefore, when making a purchase, you may enter into an additional contract with the corresponding third-party service provider providing the app store. The terms and conditions of this provider may apply. Depending on the terms and conditions of the respective third-party service provider, you may need to exercise cancellation and recovery rights with these service providers.

9.4. Payment

You can purchase the subscription package directly from the English-Vietnamese Dictionary or through a third party by prepaying the subscription fee plus applicable taxes for the specified period announced to you before purchase.

9.5. Trial Period

Some of our subscription packages include a trial period for you to experience the application for a specific period without charge or at a discounted price (“Trial Period”). The trial period will automatically convert to a paid subscription package when the trial period ends. To avoid being charged, you must cancel the subscription package before the trial period ends. Please carefully review all applicable terms before you subscribe to the Trial Period.

9.6. Price and Tax Changes

Sometimes the English-Vietnamese Dictionary may make changes to the subscription package, including periodic subscription fees, and will notify you in advance of any price changes. Price changes will take effect at the beginning of the next subscription period after the date of the price change, and continuing to use the subscription package after the price change takes effect implies that you have accepted the new price. If you do not agree with the price change, you can reject it by canceling your current subscription package before the price change takes effect. If we discover an error in the price of an item you have purchased, we will contact you. You may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel the order. If we cannot reach you, your purchase transaction will be automatically canceled. Tax rates or other fees are based on the applicable rates at the time of your monthly charge. These amounts may change over time depending on local tax requirements in your country, state, territory, county, or city. Any changes in tax rates will be automatically applied based on the account information you provide.

9.7. Renewal.

Your payment to English-Vietnamese Dictionary or the third party from which you purchased the subscription package will automatically renew at the end of the current period of the subscription package unless you cancel the subscription package before the end of the current period at that time.

9.8. Cancellation

You must cancel the subscription or trial period before the renewal period to avoid being charged for the next cycle of the subscription. You can cancel the subscription renewal at any time through the App Store/Play Store or by contacting us via email at office@ppclink.com and stating the email you used to register your account. Additionally, you can use the following cancellation form: “Subject – Cancel Subscription. Send to the support team of English-Vietnamese Dictionary, I am writing this email to inform you that I will cancel my subscription. The email address I used to register my account at ppclink.com is [specify here].” If you purchased the subscription through a third party, go to the Settings section of your device – Subscriptions and Cancel, or contact them for information on payment, cancellation, and refunds. Contact our support team at https://ppclink.com/apps/contact-us/ and follow the instructions on how to cancel your trial subscription.

9.9. Promotional Offers

Sometimes, you may have the opportunity to purchase a subscription package under promotional offers. Promotional offers may be exclusive to new users and/or may not be valid for certain users, and they are only valid for a limited time. Other restrictions may apply. After the promotional period, the subscription package will automatically continue at the regular price at that time (which may change), plus applicable taxes, unless you cancel.

10. Advertising and Commercial Content Distributed by English-Vietnamese Dictionary When using the application, you acknowledge that we have the right to use your non-identifiable information to provide targeted advertising content.
